A dream comes true, since GTA3 i wanted to play the 3D-GTA games in LAN and now the mod SA-MP makes it possible. Hunting a car with a jet through a city is realy mind-blowing! Heres a short tutorial how to play GTA-SA as lan game.
- GTA San Andreas US or EUROPE DVD Ver. 1.0 (Downgrade possible) - Client and Server file from the SA MP Mod. Download -> here (Freeware) (- VISTA-User see below) Step 1:
Install GTA-SA (standard).
Step 2:
Install the SA-MP Mod. (players install the CLIENT, Server PC needs SERVER + Client)
Step 3:
Only the server PC extracts the server-file.
All settings are made in the settings.cfg, but if you only want to do a quickstart, unname the file "changme" in "xyz" and go on.
To start the server click the samp-server.exe
Step 4:
To Join the game everybody (the server too) has to join the game with: Start-Programms-San Andreas Multiplayer-San Andreas Multiplayer.
Now the client opens you must now add the Server with the IP and port. Like this 192.168.0.20:7777
Of course the IP from the PC who opend the Server.
Now the Server is added to the list and you can double click it for starting the game!
Players with Windows Vista :(
Vista player should run the game in "Windows XP SP2" compatibility mode to avoid problems. Maps/Help/Links
