Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield is a first person tactical shooter that provides exhilarating action, state-of-the-art graphics, and highly detailed maps. While the single-player gameplay is a great campaign, Raven Shield's strength lies in putting together teams of computer-controlled(or user-controlled) operatives to storm strongholds to take out terrorists, rescue hostages, plant listening devices, and the like. The multiplayer campaign is ideal for this task. Users can set up LAN servers at www.ubi.com and allow about 6-8 players for each match, whether it's standard deathmatch mode, team survival mode, or cooperative mode - where you play missions similar to those in the single-player campaign. Moreover, covert teams can be assembled and equipped with firearms such as assault rifles, sniper rifles, and shotguns. Gamers can also arm their operatives with explosives, including flash-bang and tear gas grenades. In addition, players can formulate strategies in Raven Shield's planning room, where you see a map of the mission area and a 3D view window currently selected on the map. Users can also issue commands to individual operatives or a team through use of waypoints. Furthermore, gamers can use the special map mode to coordinate an assault along with other fellow players.
